Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of StairsUp and our delivery of web design and development services.

Last updated: —

1. Agreement

When you request services from StairsUp and a project engagement is confirmed, these Terms apply. Any project-specific agreement (such as an estimate or proposal) may supersede these general terms in case of conflict.

2. Scope of Work

Deliverables are defined in the proposal or statement of work. Requests outside the agreed scope may require additional time, cost, or a revised timeline.

3. Timelines & Dependencies

Project timelines depend on timely feedback, content delivery, and access to required materials. Delays caused by third parties or late client inputs may affect the schedule.

4. Payments

  • Invoices are due according to the schedule in the proposal.
  • Late payments may pause work until payment is received.
  • Fees for additional work are quoted separately.

5. Revisions

Revisions are provided at key milestones as described in the proposal. Additional revisions or changes requested after final approval may be billed as extra work.

5A. Refund & Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations made before work begins are eligible for a full refund of any amounts paid.
  • If a project is cancelled after work has commenced, you will be billed for the work completed up to the cancellation date. Any prepaid amounts beyond the completed work will be refunded within 14 business days.
  • Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 14 business days of approval.
  • For monthly maintenance plans, cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period with no refund for partial months.

6. Client Responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate business information and timely access to your domain and credentials as needed. You are responsible for rights to any content you provide.

7. Intellectual Property

Upon full payment, you receive the agreed usage rights for deliverables. Third-party assets (images, fonts, libraries) may be subject to their respective licenses.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StairsUp is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the services provided. Our total liability is limited to the fees paid under the project.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate an engagement under the terms of the proposal. In such cases, you may be billed for work completed up to the termination date.
